The MAX4Kids Foundation Surpasses $100,000 in Donations to Children’s of Alabama

MONTGOMERY, AL (January 7, 2021) - The MAX4Kids Foundation capped its 20th year of community support with a $10,000 donation to Children’s of Alabama. With this donation, MAX4Kids has given more than $100,000 to Children’s of Alabama since the foundation’s creation in 2001.

"Children’s of Alabama is incredibly grateful for nearly two decades of support from MAX4Kids through their annual donation," said Emily Hornak, Director of Cause Marketing and Corporate Partnerships at Children's of Alabama. "For an organization to donate more than $100,000 is a remarkable commitment to the community and to the children of Alabama. We are so thankful for the continued support from this outstanding partnership."

In 2019, Children’s of Alabama served families from every county in the state of Alabama, including 173,434 children in the 17 Alabama counties included in MAX Credit Union’s chartered area. Through donations from organizations like MAX, Children’s of Alabama can continue offering world-class pediatric healthcare in a compassionate environment that puts each child and their family at the center of their mission.

“In addition to serving thousands of children in our communities, Children’s of Alabama has also been there for several of our employees’ children and families during their times of need,” said Sandra Stenger Branch, MAX4Kids Foundation advisor and Chief Talent Officer of MAX Credit Union. “It is important to us to support this organization that does so much for our MAX family, our members, and our communities.”

The goal of the MAX4Kids Foundation is to keep donated dollars in the communities served by MAX Credit Union. To accomplish this, MAX4Kids selects several area non-profits each year to support.

“Children’s of Alabama’s mission is critical in providing access to healthcare to children in our area regardless of their ability to pay. We are proud to have been able to support their efforts for nearly two decades,” said Kenneth Hill, MAX4Kids Foundation Board President and VP of Mortgage Services of MAX Credit Union.

The MAX4Kids Foundation is a non-profit organization that was created by MAX associates in 2001 as a way to give back to the communities MAX serves. Throughout the year, MAX volunteers hold fundraisers that include the MAX4Kids Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, employee blue jean days, candy bar sales and other events to raise money. The MAX4Kids Foundation has donated over $1.5 million to children’s charities in the River Region and East Alabama, as well as the MAX4Kids Scholarship Program.
