O’Fallon, IL - GCS Credit Union employees joined together to raise $1,030.00 in the month of April to benefit Monroe County House of Neighborly Service through their Don’t Stop Donatin’ Jeans Program.

The Don’t Stop Donatin’ Jeans Program is funded by GCS employees who make monthly, monetary donations out of their own pockets to a local organization. By donating $15 or more to a specific organization, GCS employees are able to wear jeans and tennis shoes on Fridays and Saturdays during that month. This year, GCS Credit Union is focusing on giving back to the 18 counties that they serve.

April’s focus was on Monroe County. In honor of Youth Month at the credit union, GCS proudly raised $1,030 for Monroe County House of Neighborly Service’s Summer Lunch Program. HNS provides FREE weekly “Family Lunch Bags” through their Summer Lunch Program.

HNS plans to provide food for more than 8,000 lunches for children over twelve weeks during the summer throughout Monroe County. Tina Charron, the Executive Director at HNS said “This gift will help us feed children this summer and we are grateful for GCS Credit Union’s partnership!”
