Four Students Awarded Scholarships

"Smart Future" Scholarships awarded

 

CSE Federal Credit Union recognized four recent high school graduates with scholarship awards during the credit union’s virtual 79th Annual Meeting on May 4, 2023. Allie Hendrickson, Addie Miller, Malia Hubbard and Jurnie Brown, each received $1,000 toward their continued education at a college or vocational school program of their choice. 

 

Allie Hendrickson is graduating from Barbe High School where she is a member of the National Honors Society, Math Club, Spirit Committee, and captain of the Barbe Soccer Team. Allie will attend the Ogden Honors College at LSU where she will major in Kinesiology.

 

Addie Miller is graduating from Sulphur High School where she is involved in Student Council, Beta Club, National Honors Society, and is a cheerleader. Addie will attend McNeese State University in the fall where she will major in Pre-Physical Therapy. Upon completion of her degree, Addie plans to attend Physical Therapy School in Galveston, TX.

 

Malia Hubbard is graduating from St. Louis High School where she serves as the editor of the yearbook, student ambassador, and is an active member of the National Honors Society. Along with her high school diploma, she will also receive the global seal of biliteracy. Malia plans to attend Louisiana Tech in the fall where she will major in Speech Language Pathology.

 

Jurnie Brown is graduating from Leesville High School where she is involved in the National Honors Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Theatre, and Band. Along with her high school diploma, Jurnie will also receive an Associate’s Degree from Northwestern State University. Jurnie plans to attend McNeese State University in the fall to pursue a degree in Music Education and will participate in “The Pride of McNeese” Cowboy Marching Band.

 

CSE “Smart Future” Scholarship recipients are selected based on academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations. Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship Management Services, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. In no instance does any officer or employee of CSE Federal Credit Union play a part in the selection.
