Army Aviation Center Supports High School Entrepreneur Club

Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. — Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union (AACFCU) partnered with South Walton High School to provide an Entrepreneur Club for students enrolled in entrepreneurship class. Students in the club learned about business principles and how to operate their own school store.

Students were given $1,000 from the Credit Union to purchase school logo items that they could sell to make money. They learned how to write a business plan, complete a market survey, prepare a budget and marketing plan and then were allowed to sell their product. Students will be allowed to use the profits they have made for either a donation to another non-profit or give the proceeds back to their school store.

“We were excited to be a part of this new program that provided a hands-on learning experience for students,” said Lisa Hales, AACFCU vice president of marketing.
