RTN Employees Sponsor Dinner at Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen

Waltham, MA—The RTN Federal Credit Union Employees Community Outreach Committee sponsored and served dinner on May 31 for close to 60 men and women at the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen in Waltham. The Lodge is one of the non-profit organizations and charities in local communities that the Committee supports annually through personal donations and contributions of their free time.

“Our ongoing partnership with Bristol Lodge is very special, and we are honored to sponsor and serve dinner a few times during the year,” says RTN Assistant Regional Branch Manager Robin Hartnett and committee chair. “It is a privilege to serve the people in our community and experience the appreciation they have for such a simple act of kindness. I am proud of our employees’ volunteer spirit and their helping those in need.”

Bristol Lodge is a program of the Middlesex Human Services Agency, a long-time RTN employer group. The soup kitchen, located at Immanuel United Methodist Church on Moody Street, serves daily hot meals for local residents in need.

RTN is a full-service financial cooperative, owned by and operated for its members. Established in 1945, it is one of the 10 largest credit unions in Massachusetts, with $890 million in assets, 50,000 members and 20 community and workplace branches. Membership is open to employees and family members of more than 800 employer groups.
