New Hampshire Credit Unions Raise $195,000 for Make A Wish!

Fun in the sun was Thursday's mantra as 107 golfers hit the links for the 16th Annual Richard D. Mahoney Charity Golf Tournament held at Candia Woods Golf Links, Candia, N.H. The group's happiness was clearly visible around the course as they enjoyed a picture-perfect day supporting Make-A-Wish® New Hampshire. In the closing moments of the awards dinner, the New Hampshire Credit Unions presented an impressive donation of $195,000 to the organization's CEO Julie Baron and Wish Child Maddie. The amount, $10,000 higher than the goal set in September 2016, was the ultimate moment of this year's credit union efforts, bringing a 21-year total to more than $2.5 million. The New Hampshire Credit Unions remain the biggest corporate partner of Make-A-Wish with the largest donation to date.

Throughout the day, golfers were greeted with big smiles from Maddie who shared photos from her recent wish and volunteer Alexias Juneau from Bellwether Community Credit Union, doling out refreshing cups of lemonade at the Make-A-Wish lemonade stand.
