Service Credit Union Sponsors Local Arts Festival

PORTSMOUTH  – Service Credit Union is a Platinum sponsor for the 43rd Prescott Park Arts Festival in Portsmouth this summer.

Throughout the summer, the park will host live music of many genres, plays and musicals, movies and so much more. Service Credit Union will also offer free popcorn to their members during events.

“Prescott Park Arts Festival enriches the quality of life through arts and cultural programming in Portsmouth and surrounding communities,” said David Van Rossum, President/CEO of Service Credit Union. “This is an opportunity to support our communities with free to low-cost family friendly programs in a vibrant environment.”

Service Credit Union is also a major sponsor of the 5th Annual Memorial Bridge 5K Road Race which takes place on October 8, 2017.

“Service Credit Union is one of our invaluable sponsors who help make all of our summer offerings possible,” said Ben Anderson, President of the Prescott Parks Arts Festival. “Business support is central to the success of our summer activities.”

Founded in 1974, the festival has continued to offer its events on a donation-only basis, having raised the optional suggested donation amount only once in the early 1980s from $3 to the current amount of $5 and $8.

“We live in a world of change,” explained Anderson, “but the Festival has held true to its core mission for more than four decades. It’s something we can all take great pride in.”

With no fixed admission, the Festival has still found success in providing high caliber acts to the local community and its visitors.
