Zeal Credit Union Supports Incredible Science Machine and Young Builders

Livonia, Mich. (July 20, 2017) – At 13 years old, Brady Dolan of Michigan is the youngest domino artist on Zeal Credit Union’s Incredible Science Machine (ISM) team. However, he’s not the least experienced.

Dolan, a student at Forsythe Middle School in Ann Arbor, will participate for his third year on the ISM team, which includes domino and chain reaction machine builders from the U.S., Canada, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Dolan and lead builder Steve Price, a native of Canton, are the only members of the team from Michigan.

On July 30, Zeal Credit Union’s ISM team will attempt to break the record for the most dominoes toppled in the U.S., more than 250,000.

This year, Zeal Credit Union’s Incredible Science Machine: Game On! event will include dominoes arranged as video games, board games and game shows. It will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, 2017, in the gymnasium of Trillium Academy, 15740 Racho Blvd. in Taylor.

Annemarie Dolan, Brady’s mom, described how her son’s participation and enthusiasm for domino building has opened the door for new opportunities and allowed him to share the art of domino toppling with others.

A recent talent show at Forsythe Middle School featured a video of one of Dolan’s domino projects. His videos are also viewed on YouTube under the user name of bpdoles. Dolan’s personal collection of 20,000 dominoes will be among the more than 250,000 in the July 30 chain reaction.

“Brady has a true zeal for domino art. He exhibits a passionate devotion to his craft and to his team,” said Lisa Fawcett, vice president of marketing for Zeal Credit Union. “Watching Brady in action makes it clear why we have supported the ISM team for the last three years. They are a great reflection of Zeal Credit Union and what we represent.”

“Thanks to Zeal Credit Union’s support, these builders are able to totally focus on their art,” said Annemarie Dolan. “Zeal is very responsive to every need.”

Event tickets are currently available at all 12 Zeal Credit Union branch locations throughout metro Detroit. The credit union is requesting a donation of five dollars per ticket to benefit students in the Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP).

People interested in talking with Dolan and other builders are also welcome to come to a free meet and greet with demonstrations from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, at the Southland Center, located at 23000 Eureka Road in Taylor.
