Worcester CU Awards $2,000 in Scholarships

Worcester Credit Union Scholarships Lighten the Load of College Expense

Worcester Credit Union (WCU), Worcester, Massachusetts, recently awarded $1,000 each in scholarship money to Minh Vo and Meggan Mwangi as recipients of the John F. Simoncini College Scholarship Awards. Named in honor of local educator and long-time WCU board member, the award recognizes students who go the extra mile for their family, community and themselves, and provides assistance as they move on to their college studies.

"It is always so encouraging to read the student essays submitted for our scholarship awards. There are so many thoughtful, hardworking and deserving young people working to improve their lives and those around them. We are so proud to be able to recognize Minh and Meggan, and we wish them the very best as they begin their college careers," stated Karen E. Duffy, WCU president/CEO.
