Del Norte CU Recognized for Exemplary Products and Services in Community

SANTA FE, New Mexico, July 26, 2017— Del Norte Credit Union (DNCU), Northern New Mexico’s hometown financial cooperative, is proud to be recognized for the third consecutive year as the 1st Place Winner for Best Credit Union in Santa Fe Reporter’s Best of Santa Fe 2017 reader poll. This marks the seventh consecutive year that DNCU has been selected by Reporter readers for exemplary financial products and services. In addition, DNCU for the first time was voted as #1 Bank and #1 Mortgage Lender, reflecting on its power to offer an exceptional alternative to the banking industry.

“For the past two years, it has been extremely meaningful to win best credit union, but this year it is significant to win #1 Bank and #1 Mortgage Lender. It represents the hard work of every single employee and our relentless commitment to be the ideal partner for a better future,” says DNCU President/CEO Chuck Valenti. “As a not-for-profit financial cooperative we strive to provide more than just banking services, we help improve lives by offering useful financial products, services, and advice designed to save time and money.” DNCU has a significant presence in Santa Fe with three branches in the area; one on Guadalupe Street, another on Cordova Rd, and a third at the intersection of Cerrillos Rd. and Richards Ave. The Cordova Rd. location will close its doors in early August to make way for the new Midtown Financial Center @ San Mateo slated to open for business in early August.

Earlier this year, DNCU was named 2017 Best Financial Institution by the Los Alamos Chamber Members. This is the first year DNCU was recognized by the Los Alamos Chamber. Del Norte Credit Union also ranks among the 2017 List of the Healthiest Banks and Credit Unions in America by DepositAccounts, an independent comparison site.
