Fargo, ND - Fargo VA Federal Credit Union held their Annual Fundraiser Picnic on June 28, 2017.  This year’s charity was the Honor Flight, with the mission to transport America’s veterans to Washington, DC to visit the memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices. The Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.

The credit union served hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, beverages and cookies to more than 225 people! At the end of the picnic, they had raised $2,400! The cost to send one veteran on the Honor Flight is approximately $750.00, so the crew raised enough money to send three veterans on the next flight, which is scheduled for this fall.
