Middletown, Pa. (August 1, 2017) – The heat was on during Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union’s 2017 Hot Dog Eating Contest, which brought in $2,000 for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals at Penn State Children’s Hospital!

The contest was held on July 19, 2017 - National Hot Dog Day! Six contestants duked it out to see who could eat the most hot dogs in five minutes. In a twist, this year’s Hot Dog Eating Contest pitted guys against guys in the men’s competition and ladies against ladies in the women’s competition.

Sam Glesner from Belco Community Credit Union won the men’s competition, consuming eight hot dogs, and Brit Parker from AmeriChoice Federal Credit Union took the crown in the women’s competition with five and three-quarter hot dogs. In addition to our champions, our contestants included Anita Fonner, Vizo Financial; Alecia Kolar, Hershey FCU; Rodney May, Vizo Financial; and Joe Strickler, Lebanon FCU.

All of the proceeds were donated to our local CMN Hospital, Penn State Children’s Hospital.
