Great Lakes Credit Union Helps Bring Relief to Hurricane Harvey Survivors

Bannockburn (IL) – Seeing people lose their homes, life savings, and families split apart is devastating. To help provide relief to those affected by Hurricane Harvey and now possibly Hurricane Irma, GLCU donated $2,500 to CUAid and will conduct the following fundraisers:

Now until September 30, for every LIKE or SHARE on GLCU’s “Hurricane Relief” Facebook post, GLCU will donate $1 to CUAid. Collection boxes will be displayed at every branch for member contributions.  GLCU employees are also getting involved by providing monetary gifts.

In addition to these fundraising efforts, GLCU will match all donations gathered from member and employee contributions.

All funds will be given to CUAid where 100% of the donations will benefit the National Credit Union Foundation’s (NCUF) disaster relief initiative. Any money leftover will transfer to its "General Disaster Relief Fund" for future disaster relief efforts.
