SEG Federal Credit Union Donated $500 to Local Elementary School

Photo: Principal Kelly Anderson and School Counselor Danielle Smith receives a check from SEG FCU President/CEO Janice Lehman in the hall at West Elementary School in Laurel.

SEG FCU is invested in its local schools and school children. Recently, they donated $500 to support the backpack meal program in the Laurel Elementary Schools. The program assembles meal packs to give to chronically hungry children in grades K-8 to get them through the weekends. Currently, they are putting together about 60 packs each week. It's a well-known fact that hungry children have a hard time learning, so supporting this program is a smart way to contribute to local educational efforts.
