IC Federal CU Sponsors Home Base Adventure Series for Veterans

Fitchburg, MA – October 12, 2017 – The annual Adventure Series for the Home Base program for Veterans and their families, is on Sunday, October 15th. IC Federal Credit Union, once again, sponsored the event. “IC is proud to sponsor such an incredible organization,” said Tony Emerson, President & CEO, “and we would like to thank Lanni’s Orchard and Nate Glenny, along with his dedicated team of volunteers for making this Adventure Series possible.”

Home Base is a Mass General Hospital and Red Sox Foundation Program, located in Boston and has been helping thousands of veterans throughout the country since 2009. Serving both Veterans and families, their Mission is “to heal the invisible wounds for Veterans, Service Members and their Families through world-class clinical care, wellness, education and research.”

“The Home Base Program has helped me so much,” said John Girouard, Army Veteran, “and I can’t say enough how beautiful and tremendous the organization is.” After three deployments, John suffered a traumatic brain injury and was introduced to the Home Base Program. He received the care he needed and is now living his lifelong dream of becoming a Fire Fighter, serving the City of Fitchburg.
