GFA Federal Credit Union Honors Employees for Outstanding Service

On Saturday, Nov. 18, GFA Federal Credit Union (GFA FCU) held an Employee Appreciation event at Hidden Hills in Rindge, NH, honoring employees with three years to 20 years of service. Those celebrating ten years of service were Ed Perry, VP real estate sales development office; Michelle Boucher, better banking ambassador; David Bojarczuk, chief financial officer; and Nicole Morris, better banking coach.

Janice Tiilikkala, AVP/controller celebrated 20 years of service with GFA.

"An organization is only as good as its people and we are fortunate to have a team of talented and mission driven employees, whose primary goal is to help our members reach their financial dreams. While we celebrate our employees at this annual event and recognize those who have achieved milestones for their years of service, it is through everyday actions that we celebrate their success and contributions," said Tina M. Sbrega, president/CEO of GFA FCU.

20 staff members who exhibited exemplary skills were recognized as Rising Stars at GFA.  The Rising Star Program recognizes employees who go above and beyond in their daily job duties on a regular basis. They possess one or all of the following core values: commitment, member-owned secure, community, integrity and value. This program was established in January of this year, and to-date GFA has recognized 21 individuals and awarded 28 Rising Stars.

Sarah Charest was presented with the Unsung Hero Award. This award goes to a person who goes about his/her job daily without any fanfare or desire to be recognized. Charest, GFA's IT administrator, works tirelessly to ensure the infrastructure runs flawlessly for employees and members alike.
