Tremont Credit Union (TCU) was proud to support Boston Children's Hospital this past holiday season by participating in the Credit Unions Kids at Heart® Program, one of the largest credit union collaborative fundraising efforts in the country. During November and December 2017, TCU held a toy drive collection at all four of its branches in Boston, Braintree, Roslindale and Dorchester. In addition, TCU front-line staff sold Credit Union Kids at Heart Teddy Bears® and collected monetary donations from members, including $10 for every opened personal loan.
The credit union community also participated in a Holiday Card Program, and TCU staff donated $5.00 to wear jeans on TCU Dress Down Fridays. All fundraising efforts resulted in a donation of over $5,300 to Boston Children's Hospital.
Founded in 1996 by Eastern Corporate Federal Credit Union in Burlington, Mass., Credit Unions Kids at Heart® and its team of supporters leverage fundraising activities, including the Boston Marathon, to fund various pediatric research projects. Together, the credit union community has raised more than $3.5 million for Boston Children's Hospital through Credit Unions Kids at Heart® since the program's inception.
