ARLINGTON, TEXASFebruary 8, 2018 – Alex Godina, Senior Business and Community Engagement Partner of Texas Trust Credit Union, was named Volunteer of the Year by the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at the annual community awards banquet.

Godina is an active and engaged member of the Board. He was leader of the Diversity Committee, working closely with Board members to ensure the needs of the Grand Prairie business community were being addressed.

Nominations were made by the community and Board members. The winner was selected by previous award recipients and the Board. Godina was chosen based on his dedication, leadership, and commitment to the chamber.

"Alex Godina embodies the ideal Chamber member and volunteer. He takes his board role seriously, is able to motivate, to get buy in from his committee and see his commitment through,” said Michelle Madden, President and CEO of the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce. “From a volunteer standpoint, he's someone that we know we can rely upon. We're proud that he's on our board, and that he is the incoming Chairman of the Board for 2019."

About Texas Trust Credit Union

Texas Trust Credit Union was created in 1936 when a group of Chance Vought Aircraft Corporation employees pooled their savings so they could help each other achieve financial goals.
