City & County CU Celebrates Grand Opening with $1,500 Donation to Children's Hospital

Eagan, Minn. –  City & County Credit Union celebrated the opening of their New & Improved Eagan Branch by hosting a Grand Opening Celebration on Thursday, July 19 complete with a gourmet s’mores bar, face painting, meet & greet with Moana, Batman and Spiderman, and prize drawings.

With over 250 new and existing members in attendance, the new branch in Eagan was fully embraced by the community and City & County members. Along with the celebration, members were able to experience City & County’s modernized, new approach to banking.

“We are so humbled and extremely grateful for everyone who helped us celebrate the opening of our new branch,” Eagan Branch Manager, Christi Talmage, explained. “Our new branch truly symbolizes City & County’s commitment to the community and our mission to provide simple and convenient financial solutions.”

In addition to the grand opening celebration, City & County hosted a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, July 18 in partnership with the Dakota County Regional Chamber. Community leaders, including Chamber President, Maureen Scallen Failor, were in attendance to celebrate the new branch.

During the ribbon cutting ceremony City & County proudly presented a $1,500 check donated by NewGround, City & County’s branch design partner, to Minnesota Credit Union for Kids. Staying true to the ‘People Helping People’ philosophy, Credit Unions for Kids is a nonprofit engaged in fundraising activities to benefit 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and is the 3rd largest sponsor of CMN Hospitals.

“As we cut this ribbon today,” Patrick Pierce, President of City & County Credit Union, explains, “It symbolizes our commitment to prove to the community of Eagan why now more than ever, your not-for-profit financial cooperative is the right choice. Not because we are perfect, but because we are relentless in delivering something better.”
