Dakota Plains CU Staff Volunteers for Real World Camp

Edgeley, ND - Dakota Plains CU staff, including Bridget Henning (Ellendale Branch Manager), Sarah Oberlander (Edgeley MSR), Lisa Mathern (Edgeley Finance and HR Manager) and Cindy Hanson (Enderlin Branch Manager) recently volunteered at “Real World Camp” in Jamestown and Fargo, North Dakota. Real World Camp offers a first-hand look at life through break-out sessions and a stroll through a "Real World" city. Students learned about budgeting, debit and credit cards, jobs, credit and "wants" vs. "needs". Real World Camp was sponsored in part by Dakota Plains Credit Union to help promote financial wellness for youth, for a lifetime of good financial habits.

Dakota Plains Credit Union, chartered in 1941, is based in Edgeley, ND with branches in Ellendale and Enderlin. The credit union serves more than 4,300 members and holds over $75M in assets.
