Tropical Financial Launches Movement of Financial Guidance for Young Adults

MIRAMAR, Fla.– What if there was an organization getting beyond the social taboo when it comes to talking about money by offering face-to-face coaching for young adults?

That’s the message for Tropical Financial Credit Union’s new, cutting-edge movement that debunks traditional money management advice and focuses on a more modern paradigm:  Prioritize what’s important in your life without letting your wallet be a deterrent.

“Many young adults in South Florida live paycheck to paycheck, often stressing out about their financial situation,” said Rich Helber, president/CEO of Tropical Financial. “We get it, and we’re not judging.  Our goals are to help them get beyond money, get beyond the stress and start focusing on things most important to them.”

Tropical Financial’s Get Beyond Money movement aims at understanding young adults’ current situation by working within their goals to provide guidance on how to live their desired lifestyle more comfortably.

The centerpiece, surrounding the movement is a website (www.GetBeyondMoney.com) with not only relatable, but free resources such as a Get Beyond Money Savings Quiz, videos and real advice from people who have inspired the movement.

“On top of living paycheck to paycheck, people can make things worse by getting into bad deals on major purchases,” said Helber. “Many think if their monthly car or mortgage payment is too high or their credit score too low, they’ll be stuck in a money pit forever.  The reality is there are ways to overcome that to enjoy life more and stress out less.”

In addition to the library of content, those who seek an extra lift can schedule a free Total Financial Review with a Get Beyond Money expert. They will work with individuals one-on-one to evaluate where they’ve been, where they are now and where they are going with their finances.

Because giving back is a big part of financial planning, Tropical Financial Credit Union will donate $10 to the American Red Cross for every person who signs up for the Get Beyond Money movement up to $10,000.
