Somerville, MA - February 21, 2020 - Naveo Credit Union collected over 150 new and gently used warm blankets, bedding, winter items such as hats and gloves as well as children’s pajamas during their Blanket & Warm Item Drive last month.  Each year, Naveo participates in the statewide drive spearheaded by the Cooperative Credit Union Association. The Association collaborates with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless to distribute the blankets and other warm items across the state. Naveo’s collection was donated to a Bed for Every Child, an initiative geared toward providing a proper place for children to sleep and dream at night.

Naveo joined 25 credit unions across the state to collect over 1,500 blankets, pajamas and warm winter items. The items will be distributed across the state to by the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless. Since its inception in 2011, credit unions in Massachusetts have donated over 8,500 blankets.
