United Federal CU Donates $2,500 to the LOGAN Center

Color for a Cause contest winner, 9-year-old Abigail Pickut of Plymouth, Indiana.

BENTON HARBOR, MI - May 18, 2020 - United Federal Credit Union donated $2,500 to the LOGAN Center as a result of its “Color for a Cause” contest. For each coloring page entered, United donated $1 to Logan Center and contributed additional funds for the total amount. The coloring pages provided the community with a fun and interactive activity for families to support a worthy cause while social distancing.

“United lives by the ‘people helping people’ philosophy and we are proud to partner with organizations who also live this mission,” said Jodie Kitchell, United’s Regional Market Development Manager. “Color for a Cause has been a great way for the community to come together to support the LOGAN Center.”

As part of the contest, United also awarded a $500 Youth Savings Deposit to one of the children who submitted a coloring sheet, 9-year-old Abigail Pickut of Plymouth, Indiana, shown in photo above.

“In these unprecedented times, a non-profit organization is only as strong as it’s community. We are truly grateful for the continued generosity of United Federal Credit Union,” said Kristin Wier, Clinical Site Director of LOGAN’s Autism Learning Center–Southwest Michigan. “This donation takes on additional meaning given the unimaginable circumstances through which we are all working.”
